The MacFarlanes cottage is nestled next to the farm dam. This guest farm offers you natural surrounds in which to recharge as well as many options for activities for people looking to have a fun-filled and active time. The guesthouse is family friendly, child friendly and pet friendly.

The cottage sleeps 12 people in four rooms. Two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Two upstairs decks with space for four people each. The two bathrooms inside are supplemented with one on the outside. A big living room with a fireplace and a kitchen kitted for a self-catering experience.

MacFarlanes Guesthouse lies 37 kilometers from Harrismith, centrally situated to meet friends and family from other cities for a get together. Three hours from Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Durban, three and a half hours from Pretoria. Access to the farm is through 15 kilometers of gravel road.

Ideally situated for day trips to the Northern Drakensberg (65 kms to Bergville), Sterkfontein dam and Sterkfontein Nature Reserve (20 kms), Clarens (100 kms), Spioenkop battlefield and Platrand battlefield (100 kms).
